It made my speculation-happy heart very joyful last night to see some new show announcements <3333  The rest of the 2009 schedule (as in which troupe is playing where, *not* which shows and their leads) has been up here for a while now.

Thoughts on the show itself

The last time I saw El Halcon was way back in mid-November.  I was worried that during the time between I had blown my love of El Halcon out of proportion, or that maybe the performances wouldn’t be as good as they were in November.  I’m happy to say that I was wrong on both accounts.

General thoughts:

After hearing some initial mediocre reviews of this show, I was very pleasantly surprised when I went last week.  The first time I saw El Halcon I wasn’t sure if it was a fluke.  I thought maybe only I liked it so much because I came in with low expectations.  The second time, however, confirmed it: I really liked this show.

I feel like when I try to sum up my thoughts what I keep coming back to is the rather bland phrases “pretty” and “well-done”, but they do fit here.  Somehow I’m finding it much harder to squee when I don’t know the cast that well.  Which is unfortunate because I want to squee ^_^
